Sadhana of Mahamudra
Every New and Full Moon
The Sadhana of Mahamudra is a short liturgy practiced by the Shambhala community on the new and full moon days of the lunar
calendar. It was written by Trungpa Rinpoche while on retreat in Bhutan in 1968. This retreat marked a profound turning point in
his presentation of the buddhadharma in the West. The text presents a fruition vajrayana view, bringing together the devotion
mahamudra of the Kagyü and the crazy wisdom ati of the Nyingma. As such, it provides a powerful touchstone for understanding
our vajrayana heritage. It is the only sadhana of its type that is open to the public.

Sangha Practice Days– New Sunday Format
Supporting Community & Sustaining Practice
One Sunday per month
9 AM –5 PM with lunch break from 12-1:30 PM
Begins this Fall – New Extended community practice one Sunday of each Month. Sangha Practice Days are designed to deepen our
context as a meditation community. All-day Nyinthun-style formats will provide a supportive atmosphere for practitioners new and
old. The extended (yet simplified) schedule is intended to make it easier to deepen our practice by providing a whole day intended
solely for us to gather as a community with sitting, walking and the full liturgy of chants. All practitioners at any level of
experience are wholeheartedly invited.
